Question: Who in the heck is Bellarmine and why are they only getting 4.5 points at Louisville??? (I just looked them up...you don't have to tell me.} How about this...GW with a better KenPom rating than Louisville. (at 155). I don't know about anyone else, but I hate when people pronounce is is Loo-el-ville rather than Loo-ee-ville.
Remember to bet with your head, not over it.Trap bet?
Louisville beats Ballarmine 73-68, covers by 0.5 points.

Arkansas beats Duke! storms the court!!
What a win for St Joe's The A10 is much improved this year

Not just St Joe. Great night for the conference. KenPom had us going 2-5, but we pulled off 3 upsets to go 5-2 - and one of the losses was LaSalle in 3OT to Temple. Good wins for Duq, Davidson, Dayton, and St Joe’s.

Hofstra has run the table after we beat them and is at KenPom 103. They do have a rough schedule coming up though with games at Iona, SLU, Duke, UNLV and neutral site vs St Johns.

And in more bad news, VCU down 10 in second half at home to Norfolk State

SLU played their first OOC road game today and lost to the SIU Salukis 101-60.
Travis Ford's seat is nuclear lava.

the Big 5 classic triple header has delivered. Drexel beat Nova, LaSalle at the buzzer beats Penn with a tough shot in OT. Temple StJoes next. Been great even though it’s on Peacock and not at the Palestra.

Georgetown just got royally screwed. You love to see it.
They were up 2 and TCU hit a chuck 3 from 40 feet with the guy’s foot out of bounds at the buzzer to beat them. Replay showed his foot was out, but because the refs didn’t call it out of bounds, that’s not a reviewable play. They can only go to replay for the clock
(kind of like when VCU beat us by drawing a charge that shouldn’t have been a charge because the guy drawing it was out of bounds, but they couldn’t review it).

Watched the Rhode Island - Providence game. URI will be a handful. Big and strong and quick. Punch the ball down low a lot, and good quick ball movement. The game was way closer than the final score. They gave Providence all they could handle. They will be very tough out.

Big upset for Wisconsin over Marquette, not easy to replace a legend, Greg Gard has done a very good job doing so
Gonzaga sweeps USC and UCLA . USC has the sure fire #1 NBA pick next year and soon Bronny James too

Tafara started the first three games for GT, which was a bit surprising. It was less of a surprise that he went 1-9 from the field during that time.
App State upset Auburn earlier today. Not sure how they managed to get a home game against AU but pretty impressive regardless. Dustin Kerns can really coach. I mean he won 20 games at freaking Presbyterian not too long ago which is like an impossible feat. I wonder if Vandy gives him a look if Stackhouse decides to do something else after this year.
Might have to do a periodic section on Siena the rest of the year because they've reached special levels of terribleness this year. I'm not sure how they've even won two games on the year. One was against Holy Cross, so they have a transitive win over Georgetown (lol). They are dealing with injuries, are young, and short on talent but losing by 32 to a 1-5 Mount St. Mary's team? Mississippi Valley State may have competition for the bottom this year. At least the Delta Devils are playing a hard schedule. Siena's is 343rd nationally. Don't think Carm survives after this year unless the buyout is ridiculously high. I think they've lost three games by 30+ points already on the year.

Southern at 1-6 scores final 12 in the last four minutes to beat #21 Mississippi State 60-59 and cover the -25.5. With Auburn’s loss, screw the SEC today.

Gotta love it when a team like Southern (which has not played a home game yet) beats one of the big guys. Restores my faith in college sports, which is increasingly eroding.
Anyone see the CNN interview today about NIL with the commissioners of the big four conferences? Bunch of rich old white guys whining about how they need legislation to preserve the integrity of college sports. More like preserve their ability to make big salaries and tens of millions for their schools.
Agree that NIL needs to be regulated but these guys don’t have any credibility with me, given their conference realignment money grab.

Like last two posts. Watched last few minutes of Southern's win over Mississippi State. Kenpom after the game -- Mississippi State 38, Southern 274. (A word of warning for us to not take for granted our next 5 games.) Also, couldn't agree more about commissioners.

We must have gone over this, but somewhat odd that Gapare goes from only 12 minutes and 3.4 points a game at UMass to starting at Georgia Tech the next season?

I don’t think this got posted here, but if you haven’t seen how Vermont beat Yale, this is incredible. Yale was up 5 with under 1 second to play and lost - far worse than Iowa or Fairfield or VCU or any of the nightmares we’ve lived.
