St Louis just hung 102 points on LaSalle on the road. That’s not great for us since SLU on paper is the weakest team left on our schedule and we’ve never won there.
Offline
Loyola beat American, Loyola scored 44 points and won the game
Is that a record for a winning team in the shot clock era? I believe we hung 49 on Saint Louis when we held them to 20! Wow, 44 for a winning team in college basketball in today's sport, incredible stuff

Penn St beat Iowa, another big game for Ace Baldwin
Ace Baldwin is having a huge year in the Big TEN averaging 14 points 5.2 Assists and 3 steals a game
Ace Baldwin leads the Big TEN in Steals and is 4th in the Nation, in steals.

The #1 team in the Nation and defending National Champs UConn are beating a fellow Big East team by 48 on the road
Back to Back National Titles would put Danny Hurley's squads among the greatest of all time
Offline
#1 UConn has opened a 24 point lead on rival Marquette
Emerging as one of the better new rivalries in the sport the last few years. Electric atmosphere in Storrs

Yeah but they were playing Gtown

This would be the only time to care anything about Hurley, who remains a jackass (along with his father who foisted a problem child player on us).
But Hurley is doing a good thing today.

UConn 81 Marquette 53. UConn's 28 point win over Marquette was the largest blowout margin of victory in the history of the sport between two top 5 ranked teams from the same conference.
Danny Hurley's squad looks poised to go back to back National Champions
8 points on 4-5 shooting for Hunter Dean who helps LSU beat #11 21-4 South Carolina on the road
TCU wins on a buzzer 3 from Jameer Nelson Jr. TCU and Jameer looks like they are heading to the dance
This would be the 2nd trip to the NCAA Tourney for Jameer Nelson Jr.
Kentucky and their 6 NBA bound 1st round pick Freshmen with a huge win over Auburn on the road today. Reed Sheppard looking like a high lottery pick:

Jamison Battle scores 19 points on 6-8 shooting, 3-5 from 3 and and 4-4 from the FT line scoring the last 6 points of the game as Ohio St stuns Purdue and storms the court!
Battle is shooting 96% from the Free Throw line this year, hits a jumper for the lead and then seals the win with 4 clutch free throws

Jamison Battle---three huge 3PTs to help OSU beat #2 PU. Shoots 95% FT. Leads Big 14 in 3PT%. Nice job.

South Florida beat #24 Florida Atlantic 90-86. Everyone knows about Dusty May, but Amir Abdur-Rahim is one of the most underrated coaches in the country. USF is 11-1 in the AAC. That's the most conference wins they've ever had in the American since joining the league back in 2013. He also built Kennesaw State from the ground up - from one win in year 1 to 26 in year 4 and an NCAA tournament appearance.
Out of curiosity I checked on other teams that have active losing streaks as long or longer than GW. There are currently 13 teams that have lost eight games or more in a row:
IUPUI - 8 game losing streak. The Jaguars just lost by 48 to Oakland. Qwanzi's squad has had a rough year.
Penn - 8 game losing streak. This feels a bit surprising? They lost Jordan Dingle to St. John's but are usually top 4 in the Ivy.
Valparaiso - 8 game losing streak. They have a new head coach but have struggled in general since leaving the Horizon for the MVC.
Navy - 8 game losing streak. Thought they would be more competitive given their performance against us but they are a young team.
VMI - 8 game losing streak. Not surprising - they lost all of their best players to the portal last year. Just a very tough job in general.
UT Rio Grande Valley - 8 game losing streak. Somewhat similar to GW in that they started okay in conference (2-2) but have fallen off since then.
Georgetown - 10 game losing streak. They play at DePaul next week so they have a good chance to end the streak at 11. The Hoyas have only won a single Big East game, which was against DePaul.
Sacramento State - 10 game losing streak. Probably one of the harder jobs in the Big Sky but their coach has good international connections for recruiting. They will probably win at some point.
Missouri - 12 game losing streak. A bit surprised that Gates has been so poor this year as he was pretty good last year. They have a really good recruiting class coming in next year so a bounce back is likely. Their best chance at a win the rest of the way is at Arkansas, who has similarly had a disappointing year.
DePaul - 13 game losing streak. Also fired their coach already so I'd be surprised if they lose any game by single digits the rest of the way (outside of Georgetown) let alone win a game. This Blue Demon squad has a chance at being the worst high major team in the KenPom era. They get blown out every game.
Pacific - 13 game losing streak. One of the tougher jobs in the WCC. They lost two games to St. Mary's by a combined 89(!) points.
Cal Poly - 14 game losing streak. A very tough job - the Mustangs have never won 20 games in a season in their D1 history. This year will mark 11 straight years under .500 in the Big West.
Mississippi Valley State - 25 game losing streak (technically 27 games going back to last season). The only winless team in D1 since Detroit Mercy finally won last week.

Haha, you literally beat me on the Jamison Battle update by one minute. Nice going. It was great to see him lighting it up and being featured in the CBS promos as one of OSU's better players. Good for him!

That was some great game for him!
Not only is he shooting 96% for the line he leads the Big 10 44% from 3 point range
Ohio State with 15 wins and top five wins over Alabama neutral court and Purdue could play themselves back into the bubble with a few more wins. 64 NET

Virginia loses by 34 to Virginia Tech. Either Tony Bennett can't coach or recruit, or this is college basketball in the NIL/transfer portal era.
Offline
It seems as if ALL of Tony Bennett's teams (even his elite teams) have been offensively challenged, when you combine that with them having a hard time winning at Virginia Tech in recent years, you get a horrific 34 point loss. Virginia scored 49 points in a win over the weekend.
About dmvpiranha's list of teams with acting losing streaks, Missouri hosts #5 Tennessee tonight at 7 on the SEC Network. I'm interested to see what the atmosphere/effort is like for a BCS team that has lost 12 straight games, especially playing a Final Four caliber team like Tennessee.
Georgetown is in an interesting situation when they host St.John's tomorrow night on FS1 because St. John's coach Rick Pitino basically threw all of his players under the bus (saying things like they weren't athletic, they don't play hard, they don't play smart, etc., he even called some of them out by name) after they lost at home to Seton Hall on Sunday. Playing Georgetown would normally be a GET RIGHT game for a team, but I'm curious to see how St.John's plays after Pitino put all of the blame on his players.

Creighton with a big win over #1 UConn. What a job by Gregg McDermott at Creighton, 6x he's taken them to at least the round of 32, 3x in a row including trips to the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 last year
This team may be his best yet. Wonderful job moving moving a Missouri Valley school to the Big East and right to the very top of the league.
