Drumgoole, a player GW offered out of HS, finds his way to Foggy Bottom nearly six years after he was originally offered. It's no secret that he's been around CBB for a while, but he didn't truly break out until he left Pitt for Albany. There was certainly need for some scoring insurance (and shooting) in the backcourt as just the Treys and Jacoi wasn't enough, and Drumgoole has scored 20+ points 17 times in the past two years.

We'll see how grabbing a couple of guards from the CAA, the 19th ranked conference, plays out. In nine games against competition from the "top 10 conferences", Drumgoole has struggled over the past two years, as he's gone a combined 24/92 (26.1%) from the field and 18/62 (29%) from 3. Even taking out the years where he didn't get consistent playing time at Pitt that's not exactly great but I'm sure CC has a plan for how to get him to be more efficient.

There are also question marks defensively, as he didn't exactly make his mark on that end last year for the Blue Hens and that's something that we are still waiting to see from a CC-coached team. Drumgoole had the worst defensive +/- of any player who saw 10 or more minutes per game for Delaware last year. If he (along with many others on the team) can pick it up on that end, that is what will truly make a difference.

As of now, there's still one open scholarship which historically hasn't been used at GW for quite some time. Having said that, I do think there's a hole at the wing position - outside of Garrett I think we'll likely be short in height at the 3 and I was hoping that Garrett could avoid playing 30+ mpg in order to keep him fresh with the hip issues (I guess Drumgoole will play some there by default although just 6'5"). I guess we'll see what happens for the remainder of the offseason.

Welcome Gerald to Foggy Bottom! He was a two-sport athlete in HS (played multiple positions on the football team) which I think certainly adds a toughness to the team.

DMVPiranha, outstaning evaluation. Thank you. Great how you don't sugar coat every player. I am sure many on this board would love to see your evaluations of all four new Revs comparing them and how you think they will fit with our returning players.
