Strange that every year (for probably at least the past 10 years or more) Mark Few's Gonzaga teams have been considered one of the four national title contenders but have never actually won a national title. Clearly, this is a hallmark trait for a coach to be considered "America's Greatest Coach."

Speaking of OOC's, Gonzaga plays:

UCONN the back to back champs, Kentucky, Arizona, Baylor, Arizona St, Indiana and Louisville

If GW had spent the last quarter of a century in March Madness like Mark Few has I would advocate for a harder OOC, but we're picked 13th in a 15 team A10 league

Amazing Gonzaga has convinced Kentucky and Baylor to play home and homes, but it did take 20+ years to get there.  We need to just start winning in the A10, and that's going to take another year after this one at minimum.

Meanwhile Danny Hurley could have the Lakers job as Lebron's Coach, but instead he is staying on Storrs. 6 years ago he was the coach of Rhode Island, now he's turning down the Lakers and Lebron James 

Must be more to this story.... and its a big one, heckuva career if he's actually retiring

National Title, 16 NCAA Tourney wins, took Washington State to the Sweet 16, and  even has the NCAA record for career three-point field goal percentage (49.7%)

Won 70% of his games in the ACC, quite an accomplishment as well:  189–82 (.697) ACC play.

Top-50 forward Chris Nwuli announced his commitment to Rutgers on Sunday, giving the Scarlet Knights their first ESPN 100 prospect of the 2025 class.Steve Pikiell's program didn't get involved in Nwuli's recruitment until recently, extending a scholarship offer in late September after not being included on Nwuli's list of six finalist schools in August."I chose Rutgers because I love the way the coaching staff made me feel welcome, and the East Coast is where I want to be," Nwuli told ESPN. "I love the energy of the staff. Coach Pikiell breathes basketball, and he cares about his players.  Nwuli is one of the more explosive athletes in the senior class. He has quick-twitch ability to get off the ground with great burst and elevation, and his second jump is effective because it enables him to get easy points on putbacks or block shots at the other end. He's a lob threat, especially in transition, and he's versatile defensively with his lateral quickness and ability to cover ground.

He visited all five schools over the past couple of months, while also hosting frequent visits from coaches in recent weeks -- including when Hurley and two assistant coaches stopped by Reibe's high school after visiting the White House in September.The Huskies' pitch won out: Come to Storrs and develop into an NBA player while also competing for a national championship.

South Florida's Amir Abdur-Rahim, one of the brightest young coaches in college basketball, died Thursday at age 43, the school announced.Abdur-Rahim was undergoing a medical procedure at a Tampa-area hospital when he died due to complications that arose, the school said.

Hard to believe that Rutgers has 2 of the 3 best newcomers in the sport, (Cooper Flagg, Duke the other) but it happened, what a coup for Pikiell 2. Airious Bailey, G, Rutgers Scarlet Knights (freshman)An explosive athlete who will produce highlight-reel plays on a nightly basis, Bailey is going to push Flagg for the No. 1 pick next June. He's also one-half of the duo that has people so excited about Rutgers.'

Gonzaga is shredding #8 Baylor in the 1st half in a battle of two of the best teams in the country, Gonzaga wins 101-63

No games for election night, but tomorrow a good slate including the Back to back Champs UCONN and Rutgers with their pair of Lottery picks top 3 Freshman in the nation

The A10 Monday night look about as expected, ok not great but just 1 game so we shall see as the OOC develops
