Rhody fans are calling for Archie Miller’s head after the Rams collapsed in the second half to lose to UMass. This guarantees the 3rd consecutive A10 losing conference record for the $10 Million Man, and 5th straight conference losing record overall for URI. So file that in the “Things could be worse” category.

Rhody’s $10 million man just lost his fourth straight and 8 of last 12. Now 6-11 and headed for a PIG once again. He’s lost both the locker room and the stands.

Dayton beats VCU, which may have killed the A10s chance at a second NCAA bid… What an enigma that team has been this year.

VCU still 29 in KenPom. Would be ridiculous for them not to get in. It’s a sign of how the BCS cartel has choked out mid majors that they are even on the bubble.
As for Dayton, this should put them very much on the bubble. They are now 3-4 Q1, with all of those wins being road or neutral. Their resume, in my mind, is now heater than like North Carolina (1-10 q1), Texas (5-9 q1, 3-4 q2, and just 6-11 in conference, which should be disqualifying), SMU (0-4 q1, 6-4 q2), Wake (2-7 q1, 2 q3 losses like Dayton).
I think their resume is comparable to like Nebraska (5-10 q1, 6-3 q2 and 3), who is really only in because they get so many freakin chances at good wins.
They maybe can’t get over the hump even by adding a couple Q2 wins I’m getting to the A10 finals (for example, Okl and TX play each other this weekend, so while the loser is prob done, the winner gets a bump) but I think if the bracketologists really look at Dayton’s resume, they should* be in the next 4 out category getting into tomorrow, if not better.
* should bring the key word - most are probably too lazy to rethink their rankings, and they all know the big money cartel has mostly squeezed out the non $$ leagues.

I think you're right about BCS politics/$$$, and that the Flyers deserve consideration. The only way I see us getting two teams in is if Dayton beats VCU again in the finals.

URI had a game a couple weeks back against SLU where they pulled down ZERO offensive rebounds as a team all game. Not sure how that's possible. It definitely feels like Archie's seat is heating up next year.
Cool to see some first time teams make the dance. SIUE, Omaha, and High Point. There were rumblings about HPU being a candidate to join the A10 with the amount they spend on basketball but that seems like a pretty big step up from the Big South + they probably need more sustained success to do so if they lose their current coach to a bigger job. Wishing AU luck in the Patriot League Championship. Hope to see Lincoln Ball make the dance.

Anyone remember the no call at Mason when Hansen got absolutely clobbered with about 1 second left in OT in a tied game?
Check out this call that decided the ND-PItt game - and compare how little contact this is compared to what Mason was allowed to do to us.

Team Rankings gives VCU an 81% chance to make the NCAA Tournament with a 50% chance to get the A10 auto bid. So that means its giving them a 31% chance to make the field as an at large. It gives Dayton a 15% chance with 14% for the auto bid and GMU a 12% chance with 11% for the auto bid, so a very slim chance for an at large for these two teams. It gives all other A10 schools no chance outside of the auto bid. It gives GW a 2% chance to win the A10 Tourney.

In a game setting basketball back at least 50 years, UVA and GT have scored 25 combined points in 13 min of basketball
Maybe some defense but just bad basketball
