Boston College transfer Elijah Strong will Zoom with George Washington tomorrow and has a visit set to George Mason on April 11-12, a source tells @247Sports
Would like to get a campus visit at some point like Mason is getting.
Only if they think he’s the right fit after the zoom.

For the record, I am hearing a number of names from very good sources that nobody is mentioning here. I think that suits CC and GW best - move in silence. So take from that what you will.
I'd hope this means the high major PF you mentioned we were close on last week is still in play, and still widely unreported as a potential fit with GW. Would hate to see increased interest from guys like Strong indicate that initial plans fell apart and we're already onto Plan B.

Hoops HQ features Buchanan as a mid major who could go to a high major like Rutgers or Miss State but also says Towson is a possibility if he wants to stay local. They refer to his play this season as "solid." Really?

I guess this answers my question regarding Zam returning. Wish him the best.
Offline
Yes, best.
A lot of potential, think he could hit some 3s. But not really what was thought
he might bring at his height--and also injuries. Would have liked to see him develop--and he
well may have in a different era.
But the spot can be wisely used in the marketplace.
We need bigs. As great as he is, Castro can't be the only one.
And shooters especially, a real weakness outside Trey A. when he is on and Garrett if
he very hopefully stays healthy.

Just FYI we're in a dead period (4/4-4/10) so no in-person contact or visits are permitted. Coaches can still Zoom with potential transfers.

Keegan Harvey will team back up with Jamion Christian at Bryant. Hope he does well there!

I am disappointed that Zam will not be returning. His delay in entering the portal tells me that he was considering returning. At 6’8’ and two hundred and twenty pounds, I believed that he had the potential to be a strong contributor. Think of the time, money and travel recruiting him. Perhaps, he was not shown the love he needed. Does anyone have any specific insight as to his leaving?

Amarri Monroe opted to return to Quinnipiac after generating considerable interest from some big schools. Everyone has their reasons for returning to their previous school but this may go down as the most surprising decision all offseason. It's certainly stunning from a financial perspective.
Quante Berry opted to return home to Tennessee, although GW was apparently very interested. He's another mid player at best so not that upset about it (also Temple wasn't particularly good either).
Tafara Gapare also quietly entered the portal again. It will be masked as a decision made because Willard is leaving Maryland for Villanova but he was almost definitely going to enter regardless. He's doing his best to keep pace with Bray for the most schools title.

NBA teams usually see that as a sign the three point shooting was a fluke. Conversely, if someone is great from the line but meh from three, they see it as untapped shooting potential.
