Played 30 more minutes last night, looking likely he's going to have a long NBA career ahead of him
His Toronto team has won 4 of their last 5

I know that Jamison played for GW for 2 seasons, which is as long as he played anywhere else. And I know times are changing in terms of transfer rulls, NIL money, etc, even if my mindset hasn't been as quick to change. Where am I going with this? I am happy for Jamison...but not to the extent I was happy for Yuta, Cavanaugh and those few others that went into the NBA after finishing their college careers at GW. I would check those players NBA box scores all the time. Jamison rarely. I still like to think that the players are playing for the names on the front of the jersey and not the back, and no matter how valid the reaons may be for leaving (and they are absolutely valid), a part of me still thinks "traitor", I just just can't feel about them as I would a graduate, even if that graduate was only at GW for one or 2 seasons.

Jamison was named to A10 all-rookie team as a freshman and third team all A 10 a a sophomore. I was surprised that he stayed around as long as he did. He was clearly a gifted long range shooter who was under appreciated and under utilized. While 8 other teammates were also "traitors" there was clearly a problem with instability in the coaching ranks. The roster in 2021 was damn good and never developed. I consider him "astute" for ultimately believing in himself and carving out a role for himself in the NBA.

Had a rookie year in the NBA that looked like that of a guy with a long NBA career ahead of him as a rotational piece
way to go Jamison!

Jamison is back with Toronto and has started the year 4 for 6 from 3.
Now shooting a career 41.1% from 3 in the NBA on 109 made 3s, and 89% from the line

Happy for him, but it would mean alot if somebody that graduated from GW made it to the NBA. Battle went to two other schools before he graduated.

A friend texted me last Friday to say that Battle was 3 for 3 from 3 against his beloved Bucks.  My response was that GW may lead the country in NBA players this century who've played fewer than 75 career games.  After Yuta's 213, there's Jameson (yes, technically did not finish as a GW player) with 62, Pops with 61, Tyler with 50, Pato with 5, and Hall with 2.  Remarkably, we can add Yinka's 110 to this group and it still cumulatively falls over 100 games short of Mike Brown's 626.
Best NBA career scoring averages by a one-time GW player:
Corky Devlin                7.1
Joe Holup                    7.0
Jameson Battle           7.0

Jamison Battle had himself a game last night in a win versus the Cavaliers. 20 points on a perfect shooting night, including 2 threes to seal the game. And I think he only played the 2nd half.

WOAH
He had a +/- of  +28 points, was 6 for 6 from 3 (He is now shooting 83.3% from the 3 for the year)
42.4% on 271 NBA career attempts
