Here is a little more ... looks like we are very close with the wing from a Big 12 school. Hope to have more shortly.

Fingers crossed his NIL commitment is a low base + bonuses for staying healthy

Re: The 2026-2027 Revolutionaries

Physical wing who defends and rebounds.  Three seasons under Sampson at UH followed by a year playing for Wade at NC State for a season.  Not a classic three point shooter; more of a slasher on offense.  Exactly the kind of swing that CC has to be taking.  Managed to play 30 games last year and 40 the year before that though minutes have been limited.  Hopefully he's ready for an increase in workload.

Re: The 2026-2027 Revolutionaries

Wow!   This is a splash signing, and certainly not a name I would have thought we could get. Not every day you expect us to land a guy who played 20 minutes a game for a team like Houston.

He’s a big time defensive player.  Could easily make all defense team in the A10 with consistent playing time.

And I think there’s untapped offensive potential, he’s just never gotten 30 minutes a game to get confident and he’s always been a 4th or 5th option.

I also think it’s a really good fit next to Aranguren. He’s more of a secondary creator and will be good off ball.  And if the shot improves with playing time, he’s an all league caliber player.

But if nothing else, he can be the defensive stopped on the wing we lacked last year.

Love this one!

It’s a good start.  Let’s go Revs!

Is this the Big12 guy?  (I think of him as Houston, too, but he did play ACC last year, so not positive it’s who you meant)

To be clear, this was NOT who I meant. This one came out of Left field. We have another wing/guard from the Big 12 who I think is done. I knew Arceneaux was at NC State.

When you say who you think is done - do you mean done as in signed and sealed with us or done considering us?

Re: The 2026-2027 Revolutionaries

Easy to lose in light of the daunting task of replacing 9 of the team's top 10 players from a year ago are two things:

1) Rafael Castro represents a tremendous story to sell high caliber recruits on.  A legitimate NBA prospect who wasn't given much of an opportunity to develop while at Providence.  Much harder to achieve that dream as the 8th man at a P5 rather than playing much more in the A10.  A player like Arceneaux undoubtedly heard all about this and is able to foresee a similar path.

2) We don't know an awful lot about Rougier-Roane, Chaudhri or N'landu.  The first two are redshirts who figure to play roles next season.  N'landu will be a freshman who may be relied upon more prominently than a typical CC freshman.  Add in Jean and Terance and at least we could roll out a starting five.  (Yes, I am counting on more signings.)

Pitt transfer Omari Witherspoon has committed to George Washington, source told ESPN. Really good pickup for the Revs. Former top-100 recruit averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 assists as a freshman. Had 19 against NC State in the ACC tournament.

Re: The 2026-2027 Revolutionaries

First 3 transfers all look promising and I always prefer going the HM route of players that didnt play a ton vs. LM stars moving up IMO as this is where we've had success in the past (Armwood, Creek, Cavanaugh, Castro, etc) and LM stars aren't always guaranteed to succeed at a MM/HM. Keep em coming. VCU, SLU, Dayton all look like they will be beasts again next year to play with their moves so far (especially that pickup of Haynes to Dayton - he was a "SOB" to play against when he was at Mason a few years ago). Mason, Richmond, LUC, and St Joes also making nice moves early as well

This was the kid I had mentioned earlier. GW working on a couple of bigs now. Should know more soon.

Re: The 2026-2027 Revolutionaries

Good to see the new pickups, who are most welcome. Keep 'em coming.
Now, we also do need some bigs.
We got caught last year after we were light on them--and Castro was injured.

Re: The 2026-2027 Revolutionaries

Welcome Omari!

Seems like one thing these three wings have in common g
(Besides coming from high majors and having strong HS recruit rankings) is they all have strong block and steal rates for wings.

Two years ago we looked like we were on our way to being an excellent defensive team, but took a big step back this year (especially Chris Jones).  Seems like CC really wants to fix that wing defense, and figures the offense will work itself out with these guys. No matter who else comes, it’s going to he’s very different team, and hopefully we become defensive beasts again.

Re: The 2026-2027 Revolutionaries

I believe Vincent Chaudhri is now in the portal.

So to recap at this point:

Aranguren
Arceneaux
Witherspoon
Kossaras
Rougier-Roane
N'landau

Now have to address the frontcourt in a big way.

Re: The 2026-2027 Revolutionaries

Well as much as I'm not a big fan of the portal era, it definitely makes the offseason more interesting. 7 more scholarships?

I think summer foreign trip would be a good idea for this team
