Might not be done yet. Rumors of a 4th big from South America.

Thanks for the heads up, as always.

Any thoughts on who the sleeper signee is?  I’m wondering if Urbhia could be a sneaky great pickup.  Adriatic league is legit and he has size and shooting, though will need to adjust to the speed of the game.

Re: The 2026-2027 Revolutionaries

Hoops HQ has Jukovich and Witherspoon at #15 and #19 on their list of top 20 players transferring from high major to mid major teams.

Re: The 2026-2027 Revolutionaries

As AT Hiker mentioned  from Hoops HQ.   U can read the article for free if you input an email
https://www.hoopshq.com/rankings/top-twenty-transfer-down

16. Andrija Vukovic, 6-foot-11 sophomore forward, Oklahoma State to George Washington
Vukovic is primed for a breakout at GW. In his sophomore season, the Serbian big man got confident and blossomed on increased minutes — he finished with a 62.2 field goal percentage. Vukovic is an elite finisher and a magician at drawing fouls. At 6-foot-11, he shows great mobility, soft touch and a knack for setting screens. A rising true junior, Vukovic is still extremely raw. After missing the final four games of the season with a torn meniscus, Vukovic will hit D.C. running, and aim to improve his strength and stamina.

19. Omari Witherspoon, 6-foot-4 freshman guard, Pitt to George Washington
Twenty-five starts as a true freshman, a steal per game and an 18-point masterpiece in the ACC Tournament don’t seem like the metrics of a transfer-down. The truth is that Witherspoon wasn’t a good fit at Pitt and opted for a year back home. The former four-star recruit is one of the few genuine two-way players on this list. He’s nimble, has nice touch and best of all, loaded with untapped potential. Witherspoon is a massive get for GW. Don’t be surprised if he’s back in the high-majors this time, next year.

Looks like we’re pretty much set for next season. Some intriguing parts that hopefully come together.

PG - Jean Aranguren
PG - Promis N’Landu
G - Omari Witherspoon
G - Andrew Phillips
G - Jalen Rogier-Roane
Wing - Terrance Arcenaux
Wing - Felix Kossaras
Wing - Deng Manyang
F - Ryder Frost
F - Lovro Urbhia
Big - Dylan James
Big - Andrija Vukovic
Big.- Malachi Arrington

I like having 3 bigs (2 of whom have already shown they can play at a high level). We have a couple of Fs who can shoot it in Urbiha and Frost. Some super athletic wings and guards, with some shooting mixed in. And Jean at PG (and Witherspoon can probably play some point if N’Landu isn’t ready).

Basically a very nice mix of player profiles. Nothing glaring missing. I’m excited to see how it comes together and how playing time shakes out.

I expect this

PG - Jean Aranguren
PG - Promis N’Landu
Summer Retool- PG - Andrew Phillips
Summer Retool to Defender stopper G - Jalen Rogier-Roane
++++++++++++++++++++2 and 3++++++++++++++++++++++++
G - Omari Witherspoon
G - Jalen Rogier-Roane
Wing - Terrance Arcenaux
Wing - Felix Kossaras
F - Ryder Frost

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 4 and 5++++
Summer retool as sub  Defender ( notaWing AT THIS LEVEL )-   Deng Manyang
F - Lovro Urbhia
Big - Dylan James
Big - Andrija Vukovic
Big.- Malachi Arrington

Te core of this squad is the 2 and 3's. CC will try to keep 3 on the floor whenever possible. It looks like one of the old Louisville or Huston teams. When I look at Frost i see a new Pato. We can wear out the other team. The goal should be to defend like Spartans. This team should get to the line at a top quarter team. We have to raise the shots per possession..That starts with fewer turnovers before we can get the first shot off.

Re: The 2026-2027 Revolutionaries

Argentina forward Fidel Rotta ended up committing to Niagara and old friend Greg Paulus. I'm assuming he has a much better chance of getting playing time there compared to GW.

On a side note, I didn't realize that Paulus has already coached the Purple Eagles for seven seasons. He's 86-120 which doesn't sound great, but outside of Canisius I think Niagara might be the toughest job in the MAAC.

Some good stuff on Men’s basketball instagram as the coaching staff breaks down the transfers and what they saw in their performance on their previous teams.   Some fluff but you can see a little of how they will be used next year
