Women's volleyball goes 2-1 on opening weekend, defeating Howard (25-13, 25-21, 25-21) and Hartford (25-17, 25-21, 25-21) in straight sets, and falling to American (23-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-25) in 4 sets.

Team went 2-1 in the Pirate Invitational.
In match 1, they defeated Norfolk State 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-7).
In match 2, they fell to host East Carolina 0-3 (20-25, 16-25, 18-25).
In match 3, they beat USC Upstate 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-17).

Wow. Nice win just now against Sam Houston.
We were down 8-12 in the final set, and then down 12-14, and then the women won the next four points to clinch (16-14) the match!!! NICE.

Volleyball had a nice comeback against George Mason, coming back to win in 5 sets after dropping the first two (22-25, 23-26, 25-20, 25-17, 15-11). Junior Skylar Lott had an impressive 33 kills in the game.

Just to echo DMVP's post, what a stunning comeback that was on Saturday. We lost the first two sets and then were down 12-17 in the third when Coach Bernson called our last timeout. The women then came out and won the next 13 out of 16 points. --And then won the last two sets. WHAT. A. COMEBACK!!!
Skylar Iott was named A10 Co-Player of the Week.
The women play at Duquesne on Friday and at LaSalle on Sunday!
