What the what? Delaware guy throws a forearm and knocks Moyer down, then goes in for layup and gets ticky tack 5th foul on Paar.

Sounds like Jack's shooting is the only thing keeping us in the game

Good idea by Bishop using up all clock

Bishop, another turnover in crunch time. Terrible

Shot clock violation. But clock ran an extra 5 seconds off and on one noticed or corrected it. Bad job by coaches not to point it out.

Bishop gives away more points than he makes

Well... let's see if JC has a play

Click seemed to run off extra after violation.
Now may be a rare time for Seymour.

Another loss for a well coached team. Delaware is a powerhouse. Pack it in boys, there has been NO improvement in this team at all. Coaching non existent. Sad.

Bishop is having his worst game as a colonial but we should be able to survive that against Delaware. We are a broken team.
We don’t take good shots, don’t generate open shots, guys stand around doing nothing, the defense is soft as can be, and there’s no real identify. We are just a bad, poorly coached team right now.
No idea what is going on, or why this coaching staff is failing so badly in a year in which we should have started seeing improvement, but with what we’ve seen, it’s hard to see how it’s going to improve.

2 chances to tie it at the end and couldn't get it done. 17 TOs (our average) is awful.
At this point I have no idea why Jamion hasn't tried using Bishop off the ball. He can still get a bunch of touches/looks without having to bring it up every time.

Maybe this half wasn't t so good for Bishop.
His wild shot led Maceo,a shooter,to take hurried one.
Really enjoyed paying for that game.
1-4 folks,all against lesser opponents.
But Bishop gets his shots in,whether or not they are falling or wise.
Or help the team.

Jack and Brelsford > Bishop and Nelson?

Remember he’s been anointed a “star” by someone on this board and “when you’re a star they just let you do it”.
In all seriousness I think some of his decision making has to be tiresome for guys like Battle and Jack. Last year Potter was able to get them the ball for good looks from deep and now they’re lucky to get a few contested shots off.

I think as the losses increase the frustration of other players is mounting. JC acts like he isn't worried about winning, but I bet thel players like to win and get a chance to participate on a winning team. Unless things change pretty quickly, this is going to be a long season. We look disorganized and like many players are frustrated. If we aren't winning other players are not going to want to watch the the Bishop Show.

Battle likewise hideous, shooting 4-14 with 5 turnovers, but what doesn't show up in the box score is just how bad a defender he still is. This team actually has some very good talent on offense, but that Defense. 2 of your 5 starters,Paar and Battle, can't seem to stop anybody. Was not impressed with Bishop's defense tonight either. I guess the strategy to give Ace Stallings Brown's minutes did not work out, as Ace added nothing but fouls, turnovers and poor defense in his brief minutes.. And you can see the frustration on Nelson's face. Once more I have to mention how flat we came out at the start of the second half, as a tie game quickly became a 9 point deficit, just like in the last game, we quickly turned an 11 point deficit to a 25 point deficit. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that a very short while ago, the coach said we are going to be playing nothing but zone all season, and today was almost exclusively man to man. Finally, Delaware beat us to all of the loose balls. Although you cannot berate a player for missing a good shot, the coach needs to let them know that they cannot be outhustled game after game. This is not acceptable.

I was stunned by this also, Free. It may have been more than 5 seconds, in a close game. Same thing actually happened towards the end of the first half. Some assistant coach needs to keep an eye on the clock and make sure this doesn't happen.

What you see is what you get.
In this case, I didn´t get to see the game but a lot of people are saying it was a total fraud and the fake posters are not talking about it.
1-4. Anyone see more than 2 or 3 wins on the remaining schedule?

Although I am not a big Seymour fan, at least not yet, at the end of the game, when you are down 3 with under 20 seconds left to play, your best 3 point shooters need to be in the game. You can always make an offensive/defensive switch in needed. Another coaching failure this game.

Pros:
- We played man more, and actually switched up defenses during the game, even if we were far from perfect - still too many open looks at three because of Delaware's good ball movement. We were fortunate they couldn't knock them down closer to their season average entering the game at 40%. The defense has been blamed a lot to start the year, and rightly so but gets more of a pass tonight because the offense was just so bad.
- We shot the ball pretty well. That's part of the upsetting thing - we have shot the ball well in every game, but gave away the game yet again beacuse of so many mental errors.
- Tyler played significant minutes, and looked really good/composed. Wanted even more minutes from him, and for Lincoln to get some run.
- Maceo has brought great energy and can't miss right now which is impressive because honestly most have not been great looks.
- Matt played perhaps more within the flow of the offense than anyone else. Pulled down 12 boards and didn't force anything for the most part, although he can be reckless if he is going downhill full steam ahead.
- This might be unpopular, but thought Chase had a decent game. There were multiple calls against him which were questionable when he had his hands straight up and he finished well inside. He had issues against Painter at times, but Delaware also had a lot of fortunate bounces off missed shots that landed right in his hands.
- Sloan came in and made a three.
Cons:
- We randomly slowed down the pace, when this was precisely the team to play faster against, which hurt our offense some.
- There was absolutely no ball movement yet again, while the opposition put on a clinic passing the ball. Elaborating on the point above, until we start playing more team ball, I'd rather just continue playing up and down as fast as possible because our halfcourt offense right now is just that ugly.
- We showed no hustle on the loose balls. Until we start doing so, we deserve to lose. Dive on the dang loose balls like you care. I wouldn't even consider Painter to have had a great game, but his hustle alone won Delaware the game.
- Where was the pressure defense tonight?
- Turnovers. We didn't play nearly fast enough for that to be an excuse. We were just very sloppy. If we are going to be turning the ball so much, might as well play more in transition.
- It looks more and more apparent that Bishop is looking to pad his stats more than help the team win. Delaware by no means has a good defense although they played with great effort tonight. It's easy to guard isolation when you are so predictable offensively. You cannot tell me late in the game that he made winning plays. The problem wasn't that he missed shots, but the number of things he forced tonight was unwarranted. No matter how many traveling calls he was called for, he wasn't going to give up trying to force things the following possession. Not surprised JC sat him down for periods in the second half.
- One more thing on Bishop, his insistence of forcing things has also caused others to force things since they get the ball so inconsistently which leads to even more errors.
- Jamison is best served playing off the ball. The more he has the ball in his hand, the chances of us turning the ball over go up a lot. Not a great night for him with a lot of mental errors. He has also started weirdly taking contested midrange shots for some reason.
- Ace had some bright moments defensively, but unfortunately the bad outweighed the good and he just couldn't contain Painter.
- I still am looking for the day when I see all five guys on the floor touch the ball on an offensive possession.
- We gave Asamoah too many open shots. Scouting report should have had his name circled given his performance shooting the ball to start the year.
??:
- Pretty much JNJ for me most games. He didn't force things as much today and had a couple nice off ball plays on offense which we need more of. I just don't know how he fits in offensively. He seems kind of just there a lot of the time, and when he does get the ball, its just barreling towards the rim. Does the staff not trust him to be starting PG? Give him some kind of a role offensively and play Bishop off the ball because so far James has shown to be more of a shooting guard who is a good passer than a floor general who sets guys up.
Tough break at the end when Allen clearly extended his arm and pushed Matt down but instead got a bucket and foul in a close game. It didn't help that Chase and Jamison missed two layups late as well.
We have had more talent pretty much every game we have played in this year, but again until we play team ball and cut down on the mental errors, the same result is likely to keep happening. Agree with the posts above, not winning at all is likely to take a toll on some players, and I saw some clear frustration on some of the player's faces tonight.
