VCU should win comfortably. So sadly the A10’ll be a 1 bid league.

The fact that VCU is a “I don’t know” bubble team for an at large is proof of the extent to which the power schools have a lock on what was an incredible tournament.

Having quality low and mid majors clean out the power schools frauds, in addition to a few true upsets powered the first 4 days. Clearing the way the quality teams to fight it out.

Now we are going get lots of 4th time this-year matchups sold to us as upsets

John Feinstein was an unbelievable friend to GW along with the rest of local college ball. For years anytime GW was any good he wrote a column about the team.

Then there is the BB&T.

In that vein, just bc GTN left us in 79 there is ZERO reason for not scheduling AU every year! What AU is going to ruin our NET, when we love yo schedule 1st D1 schools?!?!

This is the age old issue. The problem isn't what other schools are doing. The problem is GW. GW can have 1,000,000 alumni. Show me the ones that are going to contribute. 95% don't even know we have a basketball team. The other 5% might know and a tiny subset of those folks actually care enough to give small amounts. It is always the same people who give and none of us have the firepower to give enough to dramatically alter the course of GW basketball. I've been doing this for 30+ years. Well put Rising! It blows my mind that out of all the GW grads who stay local there are not 50 every year that don’t get seasons for the first time. (I say ay this realizing for some undergrads the lack of school spirit is attractive.)

The better half of the glass is this year’s team is far better than the last time the A10s were here. I really enjoyed watching the league this year and expect a good time.

Why start Drumgoole?

With how GW turns the ball over and is so ill defined on offense I don’t they win wo a lot of help from VCU. And after seeing them close hard against Dayton; doesn’t give me hope.

Job 1 is not getting lit 14-2 at the start.

I don’t know enough about coaching to say X was good coaching or Y was bad coaching, but are there coaching chances, risks or trade offs at play here?

No idea? As far back as Hobbs (was Lonergan different?) GW has tried to close out games based on athleticism, instead of using team work or even a 2-man game with little success
