In the face of the NIL era, these seem like bush league offenses.

well Nebraska was ahead the last time I looked for the Crown champ, and I think the UT Chattanooga was ahead of UC Irvine. But I'm too lazy to look it up.

Surprised Joe didn't retire after this year, though he may not have wanted to retire after a down year.

Do you think we'd see some conference realignments if they capped  basketball bids to say  4 and Football playoffs at two per league?  More musical chairs movement than the portal mess.

The biggest issue with McCombs' tenure from my point of view was the lack of talent development. The group that graduated last year (Taiwo, Blethen, Brown, Lok) barely grew at all in their time under McCombs. Robertson showed flashes of talent but couldn't put it together enough (meanwhile, she's averaging 18.5 points per game at SMU). It also seemed to me like there was too much turnover within her staff year to year.

Agree 100%

Can't tell you how much I appreciate your previews and willingness to sit through the women's games the last few years.  Thanks xAC!

How many players has anyone see actually develop under McCombs?  I don't remember any.

Personally, I think the NIL era is destroying college basketball.   Throw in college sports gambling which will also taint the game, and I hold almost no hope for the future of any team, much less a small time player like GW.
