BS. Does anyone know who the "lucky" one was and what the rationale for that decision was? Was this an NCAA, A10, or GW ruling? This statement by our AD was a PoC.
I'd assume an A-10 ruling but could be wrong.

A few here are showing the GW inferiority complex.
In the real world, Georgetown beats GW in every category you can think of. In many categories (like academic ratings in every rating service that exists), GW is not even in the same universe. In the ones dealing with hoops (Kenpom, RPI, Sagarin, etc) GTown beats us in everyone despite their terrible team and start this year. Endowment, same. All sports, same.
Get over the fact you didn't get into GTown and lets hope we beat the teams on our schedule, starting with AU this weekend.
Too bad GW cut the sports that we owned Georgetown in
squash, sailing and men's rowing

gotta tip the cap to the strong crowds to start the season. I know everyone was concerned with the Greek night crowd for first home game and the routine of those student #s not keeping up. awesome to see last night. hope it continues for em

GW Women's Hoops » Recent Assistant Coach Carousel » 4/21/2022 9:18 am |
Say what you want about the program the last few years - but GW has been churning out quality coaches
Former Assistant Ganiyat Adeduntan - head coach at Colgate
Former Assistant Diane Richardson - head coach at Towson, and now head coach at Temple
Former Assistant Zach Kunchar - associate HC at Towson, interim HC at Towson, associate HC at Temple
Former Assistant Laura Harper - head coach at Coppin State, now head coach at Towson
Former Assistant Megan Duffy - head coach at Marquette
Former Assistant Coach Bill Ferrera - associate head coach at Florida State
Former Assistant Melissa Dunne - associate head coach at St Joes
Former Assistant Gabe Lazo - assistant coach at Mississippi State
i'm sure i'm missing some, but nice representation at a nice mix of schools.

Don't count on the question being asked by a student reporter. Very poor questioning from the hatchet and wrgw reps at the press conference

@nickporr Current men's players in attendance: Hunter Dean, Laziz Talipov, and Tyler Warner. No sign of transfer portal candidates Joe Bamisile, Brayon Freeman, or Ricky Lindo Jr.

5. Revamping of Sports Information - when was the last time you saw GW regularly covered in local media? Lack of exposure hurts the program significantly both in terms of attendance and visibility with recruits.I'm glad you mentioned this. I've always wondered what the GW SID does all day except show up for games and give stat sheets to the TV guys. GW is basically ignored in the DC press, nevertheless nationally, unless something really bad happens. That's pretty embarrassing.
You want local press coverage? Stop being a bottom feeder/laughing stock of a program, both in the conference and in non-league play.
Here is a hint on how to get local coverage:
be a NCAA TOURNAMENT TEAM

The name I am most intrigued by is Chris Caputo. He has been with Jim Larranaga for 20 years at George Mason (during their Final 4 run) and at Miami. He has repeatedly won polls and been otherwise regarded as a top assistant coach in the country. He is Miami's Associate Head Coach and has been for some time now. He was definitely considered three years ago and believe this is the type of up and comer GW could really use.
Caputo is holding out for the miami job once larranaga retires. Doubt he will leave. Guessing the school is too cheap to pay a true rising star so I fully expect a retread or a low major coach moving up
Caputo is gaining steam
