Yes, indeed. Within the next hour all should be revealed.

Bam. My hint was correct Joe Bamisile

That is an exciting signing and gives this team an exciting backcourt to watch—and with depth! Now, the front court!

Great guess, Florida Colonial.
Such a perfect fit for the reasons I outlined.
I believe we got a good player and a good dude here. Bishop/Bamisile/Lindo/Lee is a very strong foursome of transfers to be the cornerstone of the team next year. Hopefully we can land another starting caliber wing (if Amir isn’t ready to start) so we can have a bench with Freeman, Brelsford, Amir Harris, Nixon, Dean, and Brown. With good coaching, that roster would give us optimism that we can take a big leap forward next year.

"The coaches believe in me," [Bamisile] said. "I'll have a chance to show what I can do while also being able to contribute to the rebuild of this program [with] coach [Jamion] Christian."

Agreed 100%. Any chance Nixon could be that wing?

Very exciting signing. No doubt that Jamion and staff know how to sell the program. As I've been saying for a while now, they key is the ability to coach these players so they perform as a cohesive unit. To maximize strengths while minimizing weaknesses.
I'm reminded of Seinfeld at the car rental counter upon finding out that the company doesn't have a rental car for him despite his having a reservation...."anyone can take a reservation. That's the easy part. The key is to HOLD the reservation."
This is kind of how I feel right now. JC can attract talent; I'm sold about this. The more important question is whether he and his staff can be effective coaches of this talent.

I am reminded time and time again while watching the NCAA tournament that it is not about the X's and O's but the Jimmies and Joes (no pun intended). Give JC the talent he needs and he will coach them up fine. He has now brought in 4 guys who were recruited and played in the Big 10, SEC, Pac 12, and ACC. Those are 4 of the best 5 leagues in college basketball. While losing Battle hurt, there is no doubt that when we take the floor next season this will be GW's most talented team since 2016-17. Good players make coaches look smart. Bad players make coaches look bad. I have no doubt JC will figure this out. He's done more with less for years at MSM and Siena.

I posted this also under the recruit section. I think this says so much about the type kid that GW is getting. Very impressive

Forgot to add ... I believe we are not done yet!

It’s exciting to see GW get athletic big kids who have played major D1 basketball. It appears that the talent level is high enough to play the style of hoops we were promised when JC was hired. I’ve also been told there’s another kid coming. Until the NCAA changes the rule regarding transfers this is the new norm. The only problem is that no kid is going to wait his turn for PT anymore. JC is going to have to go 9 deep to keep kids from leaving. I for one can’t wait for GW to regain some semblance of success.

7’2” wingspan!
That news story was great, but I also loved the tidbit about the length of his arms.

No excuses next year!An old zen saying-“a teacher is only as good as his students”. He now has some
”good students”-so we shall see.

Jabri Abdur-Rahim, from Virginia, into the portal. Was considered a top 50 recruit. Dad is Sharif Abdur-Rahim.

I would guess we are looking at a shooter/wing. That would be my impression of what we need now.

GWRising you had previously mentioned (over a week ago) that we were waiting on someone that had some BCS schools on his list. Was that one of the recent commits? If not was or is it a HS player that we're still in the mix for?

I think there will be some interest from Kentucky in Syracuse transfer Kadary Richmond, but I just spoke to both him and his high school coach and neither have heard from UK.
Iowa State, West Virginia, Seton Hall, UConn, Creighton, Maryland and George Washington have called.

He'll likely be headed to a bigger program (I heard Illinois has also reached out), but I would love Kadary Richmond to come here. He's an outstanding defender and a really strong pure point guard. The Syracuse blogs are losing their mind over him leaving, as most believe (myself included) that he should have started all year. He's definitely looking for a place to be a starter, so if he came here Bishop would be moving to the 2 Guard spot, or would become a 6th man. I'm not sure I see that happening.
