WBB adds Sherill Baker to coaching staff.
A 1st Round WNBA Draft Pick by NY Liberty in 2006. Had a seven year WNBA career where she averaged around 7 ppg.

Nice to see all 3 transfers have options or already land spots for next year. Good luck to Michelle, Leila, and Sophie.

Quick update on A10.
Asianae Johnson continues trend of top A10 talent going to Power 5 programs (Mississippi State).
Closer to home and a real bummer for us, Emma Squires is staying in the A10. She's going to suit up for URI next season.

More transfer updates. Announcements seem to be increasing, maybe because players have now enrolled at new school. Sorry for any repeats.
6'2" Mille Prior has left Fordham, and has signed with Davidson. Wildcats have at least 4 other Aussies already on the roster. Fordham has nobody else in the transfer portal.
Dayton lost Anne LeMaster, from Ashburn Va., to American. 6'3" sophomore Brynn Shoup-Hill is heading to Illinois with her old coach. She didn't play much as a rookie. Dayton added Anysssa Jones from Ohio State. She also didn't play much as a rookie.
Natalie McNeal, 3rd leading scorer for St Louis, is returning to her home state, signing with Green Bay.
UMass announced its 2 transfers, not only Laila Fair, but also 5'8" Kristen Williams from Pensacola State College where she averaged 13.4 points per game. Pensacola website noted that she had attracted interest from several D1 schools.
6'1" Lou Lopez Senechel, MAAC player of the year for Fairfield, signed with UConn.
Stony Brook has 4 in transfer portal, including 3 rookies. I didn't research them.
In Rhody news besides the Emma Squires transfer, Tammi Reiss signed a 10 year extension. And Emmanuelle Tahane has signed a training camp contract with the Chicago Sky.

As stated earlier, Patel to Texas Woman's University (DII).
Knowing that Haydon has some good options, it's good to know that these women (Ojo at Appalachian State) have found a home for the next few years. It may be more difficult for Loder to find a spot, but I really hope she does.
I'm sure all of them gave the whole transfer thing a lot of thought, but more importantly was how their body language this year just oozed of being great teammates. Wish the very best to all of them.

URI is reloading with A10 talent from other schools (Megassa/Dayton, Squires/Richmond, Hattix-Covington/VCU).
With these additions, URI and UMASS (who virtually has lasts year's team returning + Fair from St. Joes) look like early favorites next season in the A10.

In an unexpected twist, it looks like Michelle Ojo is now headed to Delaware.

Seems like she may be following former GW assistant Bri Hutchen there. Hutchen is the recruiting coordinator for Delaware and was hired this offseason.

Last players added to roster (I think).
Looks like some good help for next season, but was hoping we could get some additional help on the inside. Season can't come too soon.

I always thought women were allowed more scholarships than the men. Google it and you get conflicting numbers, some sites say 13 WBB, 15 MBB and others say the exact opposite. I still believe the latter which would leave 2 additional slots left assuming Engle received one and Macke continues to be a walk-on. Would agree that another big to go with Loving to complement the other forwards and big guards would appear to be an ideal addition for Coach McCombs. As I’ve been told, “easier said than done.” Still, like the energy around the team and hope the reconstituted coaching staff can finally have the time to land HS players like Robertson and Loving in the November signing period rather than having to churn too much of the roster with grad transfers and portal dwellers.

Sophie Haydon is headed to South Dakota.
The Coyotes made the Sweet 16 last year, but have a new coach coming in as their previous coach left for West Virginia.

Maxine Engel presented with full scholarship, announced by Jonquel Jones.
What a great moment for Maxine and GW Women's Basketball.

I occasionally scan the NCAAW transfer list to track our former players and was excited to see that Maddie Loder has landed a spot at Stonehill College in MA. Stonehill plays in the Northeast Conference (D1), which competes against teams like Wagner, St. Francis, LIU, and Sacred Heart. Their OCC includes some good D1 teams like Providence, Lehigh, and Buffalo.
I always thought Maddie was a great representative for GW, a true team player, and although her playing time decreased, she hung on till the end and graduated. Hope she has a great experience at Stonehill.
