so he was at the game on Thursday.... if he likes to shoot (like his dad), he's gotta know that he will have the green light in JC's system.

Now a #7 overall recruit would do wonders for us....hopefully Kwame Sr feels the same!

Offered by Kansas today. It was only a matter of time. KJ and a bunch of his teammates from Team Durant who are high level players (Shawn Simmons, Jahnathan Lamothe, and Amani Hansberry) are playing at the Crossroads Elite Invitational in Kansas this weekend.

#2 in the Rivals class of 2023.

Hearing the most from GW, Illinois, Maryland, and Pittsburgh.

George Washington: “One of their coaches has always been close to my dad and their system of play fits me. I like that they play fast-paced.”

Re: Recruit: Kwame Evans Jr., Forward, 2023 - (Committed to Oregon)

There was a point in time when there would be zero shot of landing Kwame Jr, dad's history notwithstanding.  Today, we have a one and done at Howard so why not GW?  The current crop of schools recruiting him isn't fantastic (I don't love where their programs are at right now, on the whole)  but also does not matter,  Kwame Jr can wind up almost anyplace he would like.

Question for Barry about the GooseChase..you had asked a question about a Class of 23 player who scored 73 in a game last year.  I guessed Kwame Jr but this came up incorrect.  If not Kwame Jr, who was this answer?

First, as an FYI, I killed the goosechase game because the tension on the board about the program was anything but fun at that time, as the team was getting beat by perceived lesser opponents.  Felt like to continue would be tone-deaf to the primary interests of the board members, but I'd like to bring it back next year when (hopefully) COVID is gone and our team is, well, better.

The answer to the question was Blue Cain, former GW women's player Myriah Cain's son.  Here's a link to a video:  Blue Cain The Kid That Dropped 73 in a Game that you never Heard of! Until Now! - YouTube.  And another: Freshman Blue Cain Goes Head To Head With 5 STAR PG! Shows Off BOUNCE & Helps Squad Win STATE SHIP 🏆 - YouTube.

But...this thread is about Kwame, Jr.!

Re: Recruit: Kwame Evans Jr., Forward, 2023 - (Committed to Oregon)

Paul Biancardi@PaulBiancardi 2023 F Kwame Evans Jr. tells me he is headed to @MVABasketball. Evans is currently a top 10 prospect the ESPN 25. A nice blend of 3pt-shooting, mid-range/ post along with paint scores. Facilitates extremely well. Has performed well @TheHoopGroup. @KwameEvansJr @Dwayne_Wise  4:00pm · 25 May 2021 · Twitter for iPhone
