Love that game. Take back what I said about Hobbs 😂

Don't know if the Cayman schedule had been posted. Â

So here are the games we know about so far:
@ Army
Delaware
American
Florida (neutral)
South Florida (neutral)
McNeese State (neutral)
Middle Tennessee State (neutral)
Murray State (neutral)
That's 8 games that we know about,
I believe we may also be playing another Patriot League team in an intriguing game on the road. If that's correct, then we will likely have just 6 OOC home games this year. Not complaining just stating facts.

What about ODU at home?

Well, OOC schedule is improved. Kudos to staff for that.
And while it might be raising a bit too high,Â
the moxie to play the NCAA champ.
Don't know about playing one of those conference teams twice. But that's presumably not our choice
and could be a real boost if we win.

Agree with jf above, but I'll be a bit more direct. Can we stop playing La Salle twice every year? It's definitely time to rotate that H&H out. Nothing against their team (I actually think Nichols did a great job in the portal - getting Dockery from A&M was quite a get) but for next year there feels like better pairings. Would prefer someone like Davidson (think it could become a similar rivalry to Richmond yearly) or at least for next year Duquesne (for the Tre vs Max angle). St. Joe's would also be better.
Having said that, I think from a W-L perspective the H&H competition is fairly balanced which is good.

Strike the other Patriot League game. Not happening this year. Most likely will happen in 2026.
I am hearing another America East team or two now on the schedule ... likely Maine and UMBC. Both at home.

Maine would mean we’d get to see Cooper Flagg’s brother at the Smith. Too bad the Wiz got hosed in the lottery or Cooper might’ve made an appearance too.

Not sure of the date, but I’ve heard unofficially, that we have a preseason exhibition game against St.Mary’s College. Last year, they had exhibition games against George Mason and VCU.
One of our former Smith Center staffers has a son who’s an incoming freshman on their bkb team.

Going to say although not 100% confirmed both Maine and UMBC at home. Dates unclear.

A little bird flew in my window and told me we are going to have a great other exhibition this year. One that I think most will want to see since it will be open. Stay tuned. Things are about to get interesting. I would tell you who but I do not want to steal GW's thunder. You will understand why eventually.

Wow. Credit to Cooley for bringing his squad to Smitty, if only for an exhibition. What an ice-breaker.

Can you imagine an exhibition bringing in the highest attendance of the season for a school? Am willing to bet that this: a) has never happened, and b) will happen in October.Â

You’re not wrong! I hope the athletic department leverages this to enhance student interest (and alumni, too). Feels like a great marketing opportunity, and I hope that this leads to an ongoing relationship between the schools.
Great news!
