Based on little more than social media exposure, I’m optimistic about what the new coaching staff and players will do in re-energizing the women’s program. What they lack in height looks to be made up for with increased intensity and athleticism. I also got tired of looking at a thread about NCAA leadership as the lead post about women’s hoops.
+1

His story arc at GW was similar to Jenn Rizzotti´s in that he arrived with high hopes and then stuck around for about a year more than most would have liked.
Rizzotti's stay was more than a year more than most would have liked.
Okay, sorry...
Rizzotti's stay was more than a year more than I would have liked.

GW Women's Hoops » Caroline McCombs is the New GW Women's Coach » 4/02/2021 12:55 pm |
Gotta say, didn't see this coming.
This doesn't mean that much but, I like Coach McCombs records leading into her tenure at GW compared to you know who...
McCombs (4 seasons prior): 84-28, 46-16 AE (1 NCAA, 1 potential NCAA ppd COVID)
Rizzotti (4 seasons prior): 61-66, 34-30 AE (1 WNIT)
Love her quote in the release as well:
"GW has a storied tradition. Having worked under Joe McKeown at Northwestern, I was able to learn what a special place GW is. I look forward to helping restore this program as contenders in the Atlantic 10 and across the country."

In the "won't happen but nice to dream category", would love to see GW at least interview Gail Goestenkors, who recently returned to coaching again...
(currently Associate Head Coach at Central Michigan)
