I still like to see who's in the mix even if the majority of these players don't end up here. Not sure why anyone would think anything is remotely solid when we are listed alongside 25 other schools.

How about you stop hiding behind a fake name and come say that to my face at the next game. I'll be in section 205.

I'm glad someone can see so many positives in the shit show that is our season.

I always find it funny when people just make an account and start posting when the team is doing bad. Do you even like the team or are you just secretly hoping they lose so you can get angry about it?

Article in wahington business journal today about filings for this new facility. Construction begins in October 2024 and ends in August 2025. https://www.bizjournals.com/washington/news/2023/12/29/gwu-smith-center-basketball-practice-court.html?csrc=6398&taid=659149bd499051000173b713&utm_campaign=trueAnthemTrendingContent&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=twitter

Got around the paywall here is the content of the article:George Washington University has filed plans to decommission the Charles E. Smith Center pool and replace it with a new double-height practice facility for its men’s and women’s basketball teams.
The project, designed by DLR Group, is expected to increase the Smith Center’s gross floor area by 1,485 net square feet, per the application. It will appear from G Street NW as a nine-foot-deep bumpout that generally resembles the existing facade, but with improvements inside and out including insulated glazing, a new high-efficiency HVAC system and LED lighting.
More importantly, GWU writes in its application, the practice facility will “allow the University to remain competitive with its peers” — Georgetown University was approved for similar facilities some 16 years ago — while bringing an end to the existing game of musical chairs across the Foggy Bottom campus that takes place during conflicting events.
“When there are conflicts, practice for the basketball programs is displaced to the Lerner Health and Wellness Center’s courts, which in turns displaces use of those facilities by other members of the University population,” per the application. The bumpout for the new Smith Center practice court will appear like the rest of the facade. The Lerner Health and Wellness Center at 2301 G St. NW serves the general university population but also as a backup for intercollegiate athletics when the Smith Center is unavailable.
The 5,000-seat Smith Center, 600 22nd St. NW, was constructed in the mid-1970s and renovated in 2011. It is the primar

Looks like he has landed in Italy's Lega A coaching Pallacanestro Trieste. Interesting and unexpected spot to say the least. https://twitter.com/PallTS/status/1678761428243873792?s=20

Interesting game from him this morning. Germany seemed to struggle with the French defense most of the game which led to limited time seeing him in a structured offense, and it appeared the French were guarding him more closely off-ball than some other players. He did a very good job finding open space which resulted in two easy buckets from under the basket and had some shift moves to get to the rim and draw fouls, I can't recall any significant defensive plays but didn't notice any big errors either. The biggest takeaway here is that whatever injury or illness he was carrying last season seems to be behind him, looking quick and athletic. Also want to note the energy and enthusiasm he brought to the game, active on the bench and yelling after some solid hustle plays. Not the most efficient day but that seemed to be the theme for the whole team. 22 Min, 6/15, 0/3 from 3, 2/4 FT, 2 Reb, 0 Assist, +/- -14

Saw the first half of Darren's game. Like what I saw: Active defense forcing at least one turnover and solid shot contests. Very good at backing down defenders (they were the same size or smaller than him). Good ball handling and passing. I know it's only kenner league but I feel like he played as expected for a player who had his pedigree coming out of high school

Similarly easy schedule to last year. I think we win at least one of the away games against Dayton/VCU/SLU too

You are saying a lawyer has to approve a simple email that says "We are actually doing stuff"? This whole thing has been a giant mess and the fact that not a single person has said anything from FOG in months is hilarious

They should've just sent that letter directly to me haha. I haven't heard anything bad from the season ticket side of the arena but I have certainly been telling the refs about their performances recently.
As a side note, if someone came to my job and yelled at me for doing badly, I would simply do better. I don't see why we have to be nice to refs when they mess up
